Sébastien and I are getting married in Punta Cana (Dominican Republic)!!! Isn't that amazing??! I'm so excited!!

Yes I know... where have I been???

Life got in the way... after my last post I had Gabrielle's birthday to take care of, my sister's bridal shower... then we went away on vacation.... came back.. ... lost my internet connection (bad storm)... then I had my sister's wedding.

I have been without the internet since August 3rd!! It really sucks!! I should be getting my new modem tomorrow. So hopefully I'll get to work on my pc and do some scrapping. I have loads of pictures to share. :)

Hope no one has forgotten about me!

Gabrielle's birthday is approaching really fast. I need to get organized. I'm all about 99% sure that it's going to be the Dora Theme. I don't care much for that theme.. however Gabrielle really likes her.. and it is her birthday after all. I won't have to do some crazy online shopping to find the supplies!! Dora is everywhere.. not like her birthday last year.. I could not find anything cute with 1 year on it... I could only find stuff online. However it was great and it was exciting trying to find everything. I even had the cake to match the theme.... GOSH was that expensive!!!! Like REALLY expensive.... Luckily Dora cakes are everywhere and are super cheap. YAHOO :)

I want to get her these for her birthday! What do you think?

So.. is anyone into Grey's Anatomuy?? It's the season finally tonight.. guess what... I didn't get to watch it last week!!! Anything I need to know before I watch it tonight? If I lived in the States I would be able to watch it via abc.com but for some reason, if you are in Canada they don't let you watch it. Really Sucks!!

What do you think about the spin-off? A lot of people seem to be ''blah'' about it.. however I think it's going to be cool to have two great shows playing!

That I make a little post here!!! Sorry for not updating in a while! I haven't even scrapped any pages since my layout below. OUPS!!! Just haven't had time. I'm just dying to sit down and do a layout or two. I have TONS of great stuff to work with too.

What's everyone's plans this weekend?

Sébastien and I are hoping to put the primer on the kitchen walls this weekend and possibly work in our bedroom... lets see if any of it will get down. **roll** The primer is Alkyd based, so I want to make sure to do it early in the morning..open some windows.. and hope the odor leaves before it's time to sleep... I ate sleeping with weird odors around me. hehe It's just plain old hard to breathe!

Any must have scrapping items out there that I must go see??

I was recommended ACDSEE to possibly fix my problem with my old scrapbook pages. However ACDSEE isn't seeing any of the *.pspimage files. I'm sure it's a setting somewhere that I need to activate to be able to view them with ACDSEE.. Just need to find that setting.

Have you seen this by Anne-Made?

I haven't done any scrapping since April 2nd!!!! Can you believe it??? I sooooo want to scrap, but just haven't had time since. I'm hoping to do a page tonight or a couple tomorrow afternoon! I'm really looking forward to some scrapping time.

PSP Photo XI

Anyone use Paint Shop Pro Photo XI?

I had been using Paint Shop Pro X (when I first started scrapping)... have lots of scrapbook pages that were done with that version. I updated to the new PSP Photo XI in October, I think. Now I have noticed that all the pages I did with the older version of PSP I can't open now.... don't open with the new or old version!! Anyone have any ideas has to how I can fix this?? At least I have them printed... but still... it sucks to have them saved and I can't open them. They were all saved as *.pspimage... I don't understand why I can't save them... my new pages are also being saved as *.pspimage and I can open them... This SUCKS!!!

I have been pretty quiet the past week. So much to do around the house and it's crazy at work. I mean REALLY crazy, so when I get home.. I try to relax as much as possible.... I would love to be able to relax on the pc doing some layouts, however Sébastien has been using the PC to do our income tax.. Fun stuff :)

I have a BEAUTIFUL ceramic counter in my kitchen!! My father and Sébastien worked all weekend on the counter. I have before and after pictures to share, however I will post them later on.

So as of right now.. we have a beautiful counter but an ugly kitchen. hehehe But once our projects are finished it should be a pretty nice looking kitchen. :)

How was everyone's weekend? Do any scrapping? Like I mentionned above, we were in renovations all weekend, so no scrapping for me. I did try to do a page last night.... but it just didn't work... I didn't feel inspired... so I put it aside.

It's my birthday!! Yahoo :)

I spent the day with my mom and my sisters. Would you believe within 1 hour of being in Montreal we already had bought my sister's wedding dress!!! And 15 minutes layout my other sister and I already had found our dresses? And 5 minutes after that... we found the dresses for our daughters. How cool is that?? Never thought we would have it done so quickly! Oh and by the way... my dress was made on the spot!!! :) :)

Am I the only one that feels bad each time she charges a couple bucks to her credit card (paypal)? There's so much stuff I want to buy out there, however putting 2-5$ on my credit seems weird... I do it anyways... HOWEVER I think I found a solution!!!

I'm going to go out and buy a Gift Certificate (yes for ME) one a month in different online stores. Then when something comes out that I want.. I can just deduct it from the gift card. The idea seems perfect to me? What do you think? What do you do?

I really think I have gotten my mojo back. I'm so glad too! I love scrapping! I was having such a hard time doing any since November. Buying the house... fixing up the house...just kept me sooo busy.

HOWEVER.... my sweet Sébastien got me the coolest gift for Xmas... an external hard drive!! Now I have ALL my scrapbooking stuff on that one drive. I just love having everything at my finger tips.... sure helped A LOT at getting my mojo back...

We finally have LOTS and LOTS of snow!!!

We woke up yesterday morning around 6:30am.. no snow on the ground...absolutely NO snow. At 7:05am it started snowing...snowing and SNOWING!!! Didn't stop tell ummm it hasn't! hehe Now it's just little flurries...but it still hasn't really stopped yet.

Sébas and I finished cleaning the driveway around 10:00pm last night.

Tonight we are going to bring Gab on her first sleigh ride! I'm going to take tons of pictures! Hopefully they will turn out.. I hope my camera takes nice pictures at night. We are then going to cmake Gabrielle a snowhill in the back of the house. :)

I'm going to try and get some scraping done tomorrow night. I'm really looking forward to sitting down and doing it. I've spent the last two days printing layouts I haven't printed yet... However, I ran out of paper... AGAIN! hehehe

Sorry for not doing any updates lately!!

We are finally moved in to our house. :) :) However I'm without the Internet at home until the end of next week!

I LOVE my house!! We finally emptied the appartment last night. Everything is officially in the house.... however most of our stuff is in the basement in boxes. Sébastien and I hope to have a couple days between Xmas and New Years that we can dedicate to placing everything and throwing out what we no longer want. It's crazy how much we have accumulated in 7 years.

We are getting our very FIRST house!!! I'm so excited and nervous! :)
If everything goes according to plan.. we will be moving in December 1st!

We are actually going to get to celebrate X-Mas within a month from moving in!
My sister said that she was going to buy us our X-Mas tree this year as a house warming gift! Isn't that nice??

I'll try and take pictures of the house this week. Show you pictures before we move in and after pictures. Can't wait to start fixing the place up! Should be pretty interesting!

Thanksgiving

I spent thanksgiving with my family at Smugglers' Notch in Vermont. It was so much fun. We had PERFECT weather too!! We were able to wear t-shirts in the afternoon. I really enjoyed spending time with my entire family. We did this last year too, sure hope we do it again next year.

On the way up we decided to eat a late lunch at Taco Bell.... PLEASE NOTE... do not eat Taco Bell before a family vacation. Everyone had gas the whole weekend... unbelievable hehe.

I really enjoy her singing.. she has tremendous talent... However I am not impressed with all the bashing she has been doing lately. I am completely shocked that she is actually like that?! I find she has such peaceful eyes... sweet eyes.... I have a hard time to believe she said all that... However we did actually hear her say all those things.

We found a place to go!

Can you believe renting a chalet (I guess it would be called a cottage in English?!?) is cheaper than renting a room somewhere?

Anyways, we will be renting it for two nights on l'Isle-aux-Coudres. This is an island found in the Saint-Laurence seaway. We will be able to see Whales, Seals and even Belugas. The island is very small... so everything on the island is close by. They even have a bike path that goes all around it. We will probably rent a huge bike for all three of us.

Where we will be staying actually has a little lake too. So we will be by the lake and be able to fish. We need to buy Gabrielle a life jacket.

I can't wait to go.. this is going to be a peaceful vacation... :)

I'm just frustrated right now!

I want to go somewhere on vacation... somewhere by the water... salty water.. you know.. really to get away from it all?!?

However it seems like everything is so over priced.. I just started back to work after a year off.

I was thinking going North East.. up the Fleuve Saint-Laurent. But it's so expensive. Maybe it will be cheaper to go to Maine?

Is that too much to ask for?? A house... my house... a place of my very own?!

I hate this!! I wish someone would just tell us what to do. Sometimes I wish I was a kid again... all the decisions made for me. AWWW

I just don't know what is best for us. Should we buy a house... build a new house... buy a pre-fab house?!

Houses are now are selling double over their evulation. A house worth 80K is being sold for 160K. You can't help but think you are getting screwed over if you pay that price. Especially since you are paying more than what it's worth. PLUS you have renovations to do on the house.

You can build a house... however there's so many things to think about... well.. fondation..septic system....land... Then do you find a contractor to build you a home or do you buy yourself a pre-fabricated house.

I'm slowly leaning towards getting a pre-fabricated house. At least your house is worth what you pay for it. If you pay 150k... well your house is worth it. Another reason I think pre-fab is better than building from scratch... is that you have no surprise bills at the end. We could do the finishes on the house ourselves. Have them build the rough of the house.. and we could finish it off ourselves.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!! Can someone decide for me please?!?!?!?!

I'm currently searching for an online store where I can order 8x8 albums. And that obviously ships to Canada.

I'm having such a rough time with re-fill for albums! It's really frustrating. You buy an 8x8 album... you pick up the refills that are beside the album. You get home and the darn things are made for that album! ARGH!

Does anyone know of a good place where the albums and refills actually go together??

How was everyone's weekend?!?

I had a great SUNNY and HOT weekend. We spent the whole weekend at a soccer tournament. I did a BIG OUPSS though... I tried to stop a ball with my head and I ended up scoring in our goal. CRAP!!! My dad was our goalie.. he said I'm no longer his daughter. hehehe It was pretty funny!

I'm so happy!! I finally found someone to make Gabrielle's birthday cake!

I found an image of a cake that goes exactly with her birthday supplies I ordered.

Here's the image:

I found the person by search the yellow pages. He was the first one listed with a website! YA! So I emailed him right away with the image of the cake.

He called me right back to tell me what it was going to cost. He said it was going to cost around $69!! YES 69 DOLLARS!!! He explained why and it makes sense.

We both decided it was best for me to go and see him to see what changes we can make to the cake to make it cheaper. Maybe cut down on the colors (that's what is making it more expensive). I'll be going Friday afternoon.

I ordered all the birthday supplies this week! I really went ALL OUT!! But I keep telling my self that a 1st birthday is really important! Right?! Need some encouragement here! hehe

Part of the order has arrived. It's in Chicago right now with my aunt. I'll get to see that order on Friday. I have asked her to make sure what I ordered is in the box. As for Part #2.. I have no idea when I'm getting it.. but they confirmed it would be before the Party. hehe

I did order Gabrielle a special birthday present. I will post the image of it once I give it to her. I'm not showing it before because my mom occasionally comes on my blog and I want it to be a surprise to her too. hehe It's nothing HUGE.. but it's really cute! A cool keepsake. :)

Today Sébastien is having friends over for Saint-Jean-Baptiste (Québec Day). They should be arriving around 3:00pm. We will be playing various sports and stuff, have bbq.. then we are bringing fireworks to my brother-in-law's house. He's got a big property, perfect for fireworks.

I really hope I get to do some scrapping this weekend.
I know I still haven't mentionned on who's Creative Team I'm on... but soon. I'm waiting for my little blinkie! hehe :) It's Yummy! (hint hint)!

I will be ordering from two different places because they don't carry the same things. I will however be sending my smaller order to my aunt's in Chicago. Would you believe that they were going to charge me over $20.00 to send me a little order of $10.00!! And the stuff isn't even big! My aunt will either bring me my order next week when she comes down or she will mail it to me if it's not there yet.

My bigger order will only cost $9.00 to ship to me here. CRAZY! hehe :)

Gabrielle's first birthday is coming VERY soon!! July 14th!! Not quite sure what to do for her birthday. I want it to be special.

I was thinking of inviting all the family over for cake. Is she too young to have a themed birthday? Her bedroom is all jungle and when I had my babyshower again the them was ''jungle''. Should I do something like that? Or make it more girly?

What do you think? I found it on an online store. However it's about $66 for the kit? Is that too much? It kinda seems steep to me. But it's for 16 people.

It includes this:
Invitations, thank-you notes, dinner plates, dessert plates, cups, forks & spoons, napkins (2 per guest), tablecover, centerpiece, mylar balloon, 18 assorted balloons, 50 yards of curling ribbon and 3 rolls of 81' crepe paper streamers in 3 colors, 16 cake candles, a pink #1 candle and cone hats.

There seems to be a couple things in there I don't need... like the invitations, thank you notes, dinner plates, etc...

I could possibly get the kit for 8 people and get regular plates and napkins for the rest of the guest? There will only be 4 children anyways.

SHOPPING today!!!!

I needed to go shopping really bad!! My wardrobe so needed an upgrade! Picture this... pregnant for 9 months.. so I was wearing maternity clothes during that time. Then I was home for a year with the baby... My wardrobe pretty much was two years old. :)

Now I'm starting work tomorrow... with new clothes!! YAHOO!!!
